Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She is a reporter covering everything from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies to the advent of Space Tourism. As the daughter of two NASA astronauts Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. Over the course of that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus as well as two different administrations' initiatives. She also was on numerous trips with president and vice president, including a top secret visit to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in Journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
